Alexander Brendan Ferguson
Raised in Victoria, BC, Alexander Brendan Ferguson is a musician, singer, songwriter, keyboardist, film & television/theatre composer, music producer, and teacher.
Alexander is a two time Leo Award nominated film & television composer. With a background in acting and theatre, he brings a strong intuition to musical storytelling, composing music that can both support a scene and help it come alive. He has written the scores for the Orca Cove Media films "The Great Salish Heist, "A Cedar Is Life" (Leo nomination*), "Tzouhalem" (Leo nomination*), "Dust n' Bones", and the LessBland Productions film "Gone South: “How Canada Invented Hollywood. He was also the composer for the Orca Cove Media series "Ollie & Emma" and the LessBland Productions series "She Kills Me”, “Wine Guys: Grape Escapes", "Tips and Tricks for Everyday Living", and "Muscle Muse". Alexander is currently composing music for the Orca Cove Media film "Tzinquaw Opera”.
Alexander’s vibrant love of theatre has lead him to compose music and create sound for many theatre companies on Vancouver Island and in Vancouver including Kaleidoscope Theatre, Chemainus Theatre Festival, Pi Theatre, The Only Animal, Blackbird Theatre, Solo Collective, and Gateway Theatre.
