Evan Wiebe
Evan Wiebe is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, and alt-pop producer shaped by a musical upbringing. Evan’s early training in cello, theory, and ensemble playing created the foundation for his signature strength in string writing and orchestral-adjacent textures.
A classically trained cellist who also works fluently on guitar, keyboards, and bass, Evan composes and produces from his professional home studio in London, Ontario, as well as on remote projects. He holds a Bachelor of Music Performance from Western University, Honours in Performance (Cello), where he also studied composition, electroacoustic music, theory, and digital production. Alongside scoring, he remains active as a performer and session musician in southwestern Ontario.
His scoring approach draws on a hybrid palette: modern minimalism, electronic sound design, alt-indie aesthetics, and textural writing influenced by contemporary film and TV work.
Favourite film scores: The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou and Dune
Outside the studio: You'll find him on the ultimate frisbee field or soccer field, or DIY building projects.
