Louis-Alexandre Dumoulin
Louis-Alexandre is a composer for visual media, known for his versatile work spanning orchestral music, jazz, and hybrid soundscapes. He combines acoustic and virtual instruments to craft rich, expressive scores. His work includes original music for the feature film For the Boss (directed by Xavier St-Roch), as well as soundtracks for conferences, commercials, and multimedia projects.
He holds a Master’s degree in Music Composition from the Université de Montréal, where he specialized in music for screen. During his studies, he completed a research residency at the Conservatoire national supérieur musique et danse de Lyon, joining the Composition for Screen program.
Also active as an orchestrator and arranger, Louis-Alexandre has contributed to several stage productions, including a symphonic concert by Alexandra Stréliski, performed in 2024 at the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal (FIJM) and the Festival d'été de Québec (FEQ), where he served as co-orchestrator and co-arranger. These collaborations have expanded his creative horizons and deepened his engagement with diverse musical worlds.
