Andrew Halliwell is a 🇨🇦 / 🇬🇧 film composer and producer creating cinematic soundscapes that live where electronic, rock, and orchestral music converge.
With a background in both narrative and documentary film, his work has appeared in award-winning projects on CBC, Bravo!, ESPN, Netflix, AmazonPrime, and AppleTV. Known for his emotionally resonant scores and deep creative partnerships, Andrew has collaborated with acclaimed directors, producers, and musicians to deliver captivating artistic work.
His solo music, initially released under the name Theves, now A Life in Binary, has been featured in numerous films. He's released two LP's as a multi-instrumentalist producer and co-writer in the band Music Hall.
Whether scoring a scene, producing a track, or building a world of sound from the ground up, Andrew approaches each project with deep intention and respect for storytelling.

Andrew has worked with many successful artists over the years from Carly Rae Jepsen to Wolf Parade. He's regarded for his unique technical ability and critical ear as a producer as well as his creative voice in songwriting/composing.
Has been nominated for Best Musical Score at the Leo Awards 5 times.
Has produced 10 full length albums plus multiple singles and EPs at Strangeways Studios on Vancouver Island, which he opened in 2017.
OTHER INFORMATION
Andrew primarily plays and writes for guitar, piano, bass, drums, and is an adept singer (tenor). He comes with his own 1,500 sq ft studio complete with sound stage and two isolation booths. A full equipment list is available through the website link on this page.
