Daniela Pinto

Daniela Pinto is a film, TV, and video game composer based in Toronto. Her music is known for its bold and memorable themes and evocative soundscapes that transport audiences to new worlds.

She composed a dark and brooding hybrid orchestral score for the short film DIASPORA (dir. Tyler Mckenzie Evans), which premiered at TIFF 2022 and earned her a Canadian Screen Music Award nomination. She also scored COLD (dir. Liz Whitmere), an unsettling menopause-themed body horror film starring Melanie Scrofano (Wynonna Earp). She created a dynamic ambient synth soundtrack for the video game TRIVERSAL by Phantom Compass. Most recently, Daniela wrote the original score for the television series POTLUCK LADIES (dir. Shazia Javed), which won Best Drama at the SeriesFest Independent Pilot Competition in Denver, Colorado.

Daniela is also an accomplished sound editor and a member of the Directors Guild of Canada. She has been part of the sound teams of major feature films and TV series such as CRIMES OF THE FUTURE (dir. David Cronenberg), SORT OF (CBC), MOONHAVEN (AMC+), and INTO THE RISING SUN (Amazon Prime).
