Jordan Andrew is a Vancouver-based film composer and sound designer with a unique background which offers an uncommon skill set in the world of film composition.
Today, Jordan uses his acute intuition for music and sounds that resonate on an emotional level to effectively support each project. It’s through this dedication that Jordan earned his recent Leo nominations in Best Music and Best Sound for a Short Drama - Shadowlands - A 1940s Classic Hollywood Noir.
He has a long-term goal of composing a wide-ranging selection of film scores while still remaining unpredictable in his approach. He values communication and organization and is always committed to being of service to the story.
Jordan just wrapped two back to back horror feature films late last year, and is eager to continue his journey as an emerging composer in Vancouver’s film scene!

I've toured as a professional DJ/Turntablist for almost a decade. I was lucky to share the stage with renowned DJs like Skratch Bastid (Can), Maseo of De La Soul (US), Krafty Kuts (UK) and many more! As well as perform at a variety of festivals and cities like LA and New York.
I think I got some well rounded knowledge in all sorts of different styles of music and pull influence from everywhere.
Having performed in all sorts of different contexts, this helped me curate an understanding of vibe, tempo, rhythm and musical energy as a whole!
I think this, as well as being a movie buff, has grown uniquely my instincts/voice as I continue my journey as film composer!
