Have a look – SCGC member Suad Lakišić Bushnaq recently had her piece “Ghadan” performed by the Syrian Expat Philharmonic Orchestra – SEPO during a sold out show at the gorgeous Koncerthaus Berlin!

The SEPO is an orchestral comprised of Syrian musicians who studied at the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus. According to Suad, the orchestral is non-political since many of the musicians left Syria for a variety of reasons and come from diverse religious and political backgrounds. They have united to make wonderful music and you can see in the video that it’s a special reunion for Suad as well, who although has known these musicians for 16 years, has not seen them for over 13. Well done!
